Monday Oct. 27th marked the last of three RA info nights. Around 60 students attended the meetings which were designed to provide information to students interested in becoming an RA at Newman. Katy Malley, Resident Director of Newman Hall, led the meetings and provided a pretty nifty power point presentation. Malley was joined by a team of RAs each night who helped take questions from the eager students in the crowd. One common piece of advice given to students was to "be yourself" when filling out applications. Another tip that Malley and the team provided was the encouragement to take this decision to prayer. Many current RAs feel that the role of an RA is very much like a vocation, or something they felt called to do.
If you are interested in becoming an RA the application is now available through the Newman website. Applications will be accepted until Nov. 10th. If you have any questions about the application or the application process, you can contact Katy Malley or one of the RAs.
